Charles Michel does not answer question about possibility of imposing EU sanctions against Azerbaijan
President of the European Council Charles Michel has not answered the question about the possibility of introducing EU sanctions against Azerbaijan because of the ethnic cleansing it perpetrated in Artsakh/Nagorno-Karabakh.
According to him, two days ago he spoke on the phone with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, who assured him that “he has no territorial claims against Armenia.”
Charles Michel also confirmed that he had invited the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan to a meeting in Brussels at the end of October, and stressed that both had already confirmed their readiness to participate.
