Civil disobedience actions resume in Armenia
Actions of civil disobedience are taking place in various parts of Yerevan since early Monday morning.
Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, leader of the Tavush for the Homeland movement and Primate of the Diocese of Tavush of the Armenian Apostolic Church, started the day from Saint Anna Church in downtown Yerevan.
At Sunday’s rally in Republic Square at the heart of Yerevan, Archbishop Galstanyan had announced that only the roads leading to Lori and Tavush Provinces, which were hit hard by the recent floods, shall remain open.
Also, it was announced at the rally that Archbishop Galstanyan is the prime minister candidate of the aforesaid movement. And Galstanyan, for his part, announced that he had asked the Catholicos of All Armenians to freeze his 30-year spiritual service.
