Armenian, Azeri parliament speakers may meet in Switzerland
The speakers of the Armenian and Azerbaijani parliaments could meet in Switzerland in March, National Assembly Speaker Alen Simonyan’s office told Sputnik Armenia on Wednesday.
Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Secretary General Martin Chungong announced in early February that a meeting of the Armenian and Azeri parliament speakers was planned to be held on the sidelines of the next IPU assembly in March.
The Armenian speaker's office says that no concrete proposal has been received yet regarding the meeting between March 23 and 27. However, such a possibility is not ruled out.
"A meeting in such a format can be discussed," the office added.
