Armenia’s Pashinyan says he is not obliged to follow Russia MFA spox Zakharova's statements

In the context of Armenia-Russia relations, I am guided by the statements of my Russian colleague and I am not obliged and I do not follow very carefully, I carefully follow the statements of the Russian president, who said that there are no problems in relations with Armenia. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this during Wednesday’s National Assembly-government question-and-answer session, referring to opposition MP Agnesa Khamoyan's remark that Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian foreign ministry, stated that Armenia’s recent moves are unfriendly.

"Since the day of the illegal blocking of the Lachin corridor [by Azerbaijan last December], I have had about seven to eight phone conversations with the Russian president, I have either had no conversations with other partners, or less conversations. The purpose of a phone call is to share information, to discuss a situation that other colleagues do not know about. Not to mention that there is a Russian peacekeeping contingent in Nagorno-Karabakh, that Russia has a proper source of information about the happenings from the very first source," said Pashinyan.
