Pashinyan's son denies being attacked
Ashot Pashinyan, the son of Armenian Prime Mister Nikol Pashinyan, has rejected reports that he has been assaulted.
“No politically-motivated or any other attack on me has taken place,” he said in a statement published by the Haykakan Zhamanak daily run by Pashinyan’s family on Tuesday.
“Regrettably, I have to personally deny the false reports about me. I think the most surprising thing about the spread of “reports” is who’s citing whom. And I don’t even care why. Best wishes to all!” Ashot added.
Earlier on Monday, the speaker of Armenia’s parliament, Alen Simonyan said in a Facebook post that Ashot Pashinyan had been assaulted, without elaborating further.
Incidentally, his post was shared by Pashinyan’s Civil Contract party.
