Presidents of Russia and Türkiye discuss plans for future
Today, Russian President Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the Kremlin's official website reports.
During the conversation, the heads of the two states discussed current topics on the bilateral agenda: "During the telephone conversation...some topical issues of the bilateral agenda were discussed," the report says.
The Russian leader also congratulated the President of Türkiye on his birthday, noting his great personal contribution to the development of Russian-Turkish relations. Let us remind you that today the Turkish leader turns 69 years old. A congratulatory telegram was also sent to Erdoğan:
"Dear Mr. President, dear friend, I sincerely congratulate you on your birthday. Russia appreciates your personal contribution to the strengthening of friendly relations and constructive cooperation between our countries. I am sure that we will continue to implement mutually beneficial joint projects, continue to coordinate efforts in addressing important issues on the regional and global agenda".
This is the second phone conversation, which took place in the last three days between the two leaders, the last time Putin and Erdoğan had phone talks on February 24.
