Vladimir Putin: Asia plays a key role in multipolar world
Russian President Vladimir Putin at the CICA summit in Astana emphasized the leading role of Asia in a multipolar world and suggested more active use of national currencies in settlements in the region, reports a correspondent of Zakon.kz.
Vladimir Putin noted that the countries of the Asian region are becoming the locomotives of the global economic growth.
The world is truly becoming multipolar, and a very visible, if not the key role in this is played by Asia, where new centers of power are emerging.
He also noted that such integration associations as the SCO, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations and the Eurasian Economic Union are working well in the Asian region. Russia participates in all these processes.
Vladimir Putin said that Russia stands for the development and prosperity of Asia, creating for this purpose a wide open space for mutually beneficial trade and investment cooperation to expand and deepen cooperation in various sectors of the economy.
According to him, it is also necessary to review the principles of the global financial system.
