Raisi to Pashinyan: Iran-Armenia connection should not be threatened
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi on the sidelines of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
Pashinyan spoke at length about Azerbaijan's large-scale aggression against Armenia's sovereign territory and its consequences, and emphasized the importance of an adequate response from the international community, including Iran, to condemn Azerbaijan's actions and withdraw Azerbaijan's military units from Armenia's sovereign territory, Armenian Government press service informed NEWS.am. Pashinyan expressed satisfaction with Iran's clear assessments and stressed the close bilateral cooperation in the current situation.
Ebrahim Raisi said that Iran is following closely the developments in the region and added that all the problems should be settled in a peaceful way.
