Russian Foreign Ministry on the results of the trilateral meeting in Dushanbe /UPDATED/
During the trilateral meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the Russian Federation, Azerbaijan and Armenia in Dushanbe on May 12, Sergey Lavrov, Jeyhun Bayramov and Ararat Mirzoyan discussed joint efforts to normalize Azerbaijani-Armenian relations.
According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, the parties reaffirmed their readiness to strictly comply with the statements of the leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russia dated November 9, 2020, January 11, 2021 and November 26, 2021.
Progress was noted in the implementation of trilateral agreements in key areas, including the unblocking of economic and transport ties in the region, as well as efforts to launch the process of delimitation and subsequent demarcation of the Azerbaijani-Armenian border with the advisory assistance of Russia at the request of the parties.
The subjects of the preparation of an agreement on the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia were discussed, to which the Russian side is also ready to contribute in every possible way.
The ministers spoke in favor of continuing the dialogue between representatives of the public of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia with the participation of the Russian Federation, the report said.
