President Radev criticizes gas negotiations with Russia
"Out of eight countries involved in the gas case between the EU and Gazprom, Bulgaria is the only one left without a price reduction. We are actually paying double the price of gas and that is inadmissible," said President Rumen Radev, according to BNR.
"Energy Minister Temenuzhka Petkova ought to ask herself whether she is doing her job well enough. I am hoping that we will get this reduction soon because we all lose – households and the economy. Obviously what is needed is political will because as you can see the expert negotiations that are being conducted are not producing the result Bulgaria desires," Rumen Radev said.
The Bulgarian President added that the latest telephone conversation he had with Vladimir Putin had focused on the price of gas.
