Armenian Investigative Committee: Six soldiers captured in November arrested
None of the Armenian soldiers who were captured as a result of Azerbaijani aggression against the sovereign territory of Armenia on November 16 were recognized as victims. Instead, six repatriated prisoners of war were charged, the Investigative Committee reported.
After the Azerbaijani aggression on November 16, RA Defense Ministry reported 13 prisoners of war and 24 servicemen missing, but Nikol Pashinyan later said that 24 servicemen considered missing were captured and the formula 24+8 was introduced.
The Investigative Committee officially confirmed that 32 Armenian servicemen were taken prisoner by the Azeris on November 16, 26 of whom returned home and 6 are still in captivity. The criminal case was opened. The servicemen returned from captivity were charged under Part 3 of Article 365 of the Criminal Code. Three of them are officers.
