    Military from the self-proclaimed South Ossetia take part in Russian Army exercises in the North Caucasus

    Russia has started military exercises in the North Caucasus where military from the self-proclaimed South Ossetia take part in Russian Army exercises in the North Caucasus. 

    According to Apsny.ge, with reference to statements of the Ministry of Defense of Russia, soldiers and officers of the military formations of the self-proclaimed South Ossetia will take part in the drill of the 58-th Army, as well as the military from the North Ossetia and Chechnya. 

    Altogether 1700 soldiers and officers and 300 units of military equipment and weapon systems are engaged in the drill. It is planned to use heavy equipment, UAVs and helicopters as well.
