Armenia’s acting PM says Azerbaijan fails to implement important Clause of November 9 trilateral statement
Armenia’s Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated at the meeting with Russian counterpart Mikhail Mishustin that he assesses the activity of the Russian peacekeepers in Nagorno Karabakh as effective.
“I want to particularly emphasize the role Russia and the Russian President Vladimir Putin had in halting the war in Nagorno Karabakh. I want to stress that I assess the activity of the Russian peacekeepers in Nagorno Karabakh as effective. It is already obvious for us,” Pashinyan said at the meeting.
He reminded about the ongoing work of trilateral commission headed by the vice prime minister of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan.
“But I want to note that sadly, by now Azerbaijan has not implemented a very important Clause of November 9 trilateral statement. It relates to the return of prisoners of war, hostages and other captured people,” Pashinyan said.
He also thanked Russia for the “efforts addressed to solve the issue.”
