Ankara Ready to Cool Hot Heads in Moscow
Turkey will not hesitate to send troops and provide military support to Azerbaijan if such a request comes from Baku. Vice President Fuat Oktay said this on Wednesday in an interview with CNN Türk TV channel.
“Our President has clearly stated this from the first day. There are military agreements between Azerbaijan and Turkey, and there are agreements on military cooperation. If there is an unforeseen development of events on the part of Armenia and if such an invitation is received, Turkey will not hesitate, our President will not hesitate at all,” Oktay said.
Oktay also criticized the activities of the OSCE Minsk Group on the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. According to him, MG is trying to keep the issue unresolved and supports Armenia both politically and militarily.
Earlier, the pro-Armenian deputy of the Russian State Duma Konstantin Zatulin made an impudent statement about the need to land a Russian military landing in Karabakh in order to "save Armenians from genocide."
If such an attempt is made, they will be met by a joint Azerbaijani-Turkish landing, Baku is convinced.
