Russia, Turkey FMs discuss situation in Karabakh conflict zone
Russian and Turkish Foreign Ministers Sergey Lavrov and Mevlut Cavusoglu discussed the situation in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone. According to the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry, the telephone conversation took place Sunday on the initiative of the Turkish side.
During the talk, the sides exchanged views on the situation in the Karabakh conflict zone as a result of trilateral talks in Moscow on Friday and Saturday. The need to comply with all the provisions of Saturday’s joint respective statement of the Foreign Ministers of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan was stressed.
The Russian side reaffirmed its readiness to continue active mediation efforts aimed at resolving the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict—and taking into account the provisions of the aforesaid statement issued in Moscow.
