Sofia has dawned after the 21st day of anti-government protests with blockade of two major thoroughfares - on Eagle's Bridge and on Tsar Osvoboditel Blvd. near the Presidency. Protesters call for the resignation of the government, prosecutor general Ivan Geshev and machine voting, BNR reports.

Protesters have put up tents at the thoroughfares. The director of Sofia Police Directorate, senior commissioner Georgi Hadjiev, has personally talked to the protesters and called on them not to block the traffic as they prevent other citizens from going to work, BNT reports. Minutes ago at a briefing, Hadjiev has warned that today he expects serious problems with traffic in the capital and that there is a risk of physical clashes between protesters and other citizens.
