Ukraine, Romania discuss security in Black Sea region

According to Ukrinform, Ukrainian and Romanian Foreign Ministers Dmytro Kuleba and Bogdan Aurescu discussed issues of military and technical cooperation with a focus on ensuring security in the Black Sea region.

The two ministers discussed these issues in a phone call today, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry's press service reported.

The parties discussed the prospects of bilateral political dialogue at the highest level, the further development of trade, investment, border infrastructure, and the energy sector.

"The foreign ministers separately drew attention to issues of military and technical cooperation with an emphasis on ensuring security in the Black Sea region," the statement reads.

They agreed that European countries should be united in countering Russia’s attempts to “legalize” the temporary occupation of Ukrainian lands.

At the invitation of Bogdan Aurescu, Dmytro Kuleba expressed his readiness to visit Romania.
